Northbound I-90/94 Lane Closure Begins Monday, July 13
First stage of northbound I-90/94 mainline improvements are underway.
As part of the ongoing Jane Byrne Interchange reconstruction project, a lane closure along northbound I-90/94 will begin, weather permitting, Monday, July 13.
Starting at 10 p.m. Monday, the ramp from north-and-southbound I-55 to northbound I-90/94 will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. The northbound I-90/94 right lane will be closed from the I-55 entrance ramp to Roosevelt Road. In addition, the flyover ramp connecting northbound I-90/94 to the westbound I-290 will be reduced to one lane from Roosevelt Road to Taylor Street.
The new traffic configuration will be in effect through mid-September.
Motorists will experience significant delays. Please plan ahead, buckle up, put down all devices and remain patient driving through the work zone.
To prepare for this next stage of the project, the southbound I-55 to northbound I-90/94 ramp will be closed from midnight and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14. Traffic will be detoured to use Pulaski Road.
